Vendor Revies for October 3, 2010 NJ Wedding

Carla’s Vendors Reviews (October 3, 2010 - New Jersey)
These reviews are to thank everyone that made our dream wedding become a reality. And the best thank we can give is a referral. Hopefully this review will help lots of brides out there looking for that reliable vendor, I know how hard it could be! A lot of our vendors came from referrals, so it’s time to give back!
All our vendors worked very hard from the beginning until the end and always with a smile. They were very professional and patient. They showed up on time and were very energetic the day of our wedding.
If you have any questions or would like to see any pictures, feel free to e-mail me: Carla carlaspeed@yahoo.com
Venue: Atrium Country Club, Bill Graham, West Orange, (973) 731-7900, www.atriumcaterers.com
We highly recommend the Atrium, we were and are still so happy with their service, it was outstanding from the beginning until the end. The place is beautiful, spacious, it has big windows and lighting is included in the price. Great service with amazing food. The cocktail hour was excellent and abundant. The filet mignon and salmon were so good that people still cannot stop talking about how great the food was! We worked with Bill who was super accommodating with all the requests that we had. Sean, our Maitre'd was also very professional and worked very hard to make our night special along with his staff. He had good communication with the DJ and all the other vendors.
Photographer: Raquel Frederick , West Orange, (413) 335-2955, www.rememberwhendigital.com
Raquel is one of my favorite vendors. She was so energetic the day of the wedding and worked really hard. She truly enjoys what she does for living! Our pictures turned out amazing and she did put a lot of work in them, you can appreciate her work right away! Great personality with great service! Very professional!
Florist: Avenue Flowers, Nathan Dehoff, Elizabeth, (908) 354-7101, www.avenueflowerspc.com
Nathan knows what he is doing, I told him a basic idea of what I wanted and he figured out the rest. The flowers turned out amazing and the quality was great, everyone thought we imported the flowers from Ecuador, that’s how beautiful they were. The flowers were on time and perfect!

Videographer: Kristen O’Gorman, (908) 892-2098, http://vimeo.com/lastingmemories
Kristen was very professional, showed up on time and was there the entire time from the beginning until the very end. I still have not seen the video, it takes four months, I will post an updated review then.
DJ:  Bob Rafanello, 3D Disc Jockey, East Hanover, (973) 887-7126
Bob played exactly what we asked him to play, all the songs, the dance floor was full all night long and he had great coordination with the band. They showed up well dressed and way before they even had to be there. Bob has been in this business for more than fifteen years and his experience showed right away.

Band: Macedonian Band, Saso Sambevski, (201) 954-1734
The band just plays Macedonian music, it is a three people team. They played my mother in law’s 15 request song list and really kept the whole crowd dancing!

Pianist: Martin Yospe, 973-305-0126
Martin was very well organized and reached out to me weeks before the wedding just to confirm everything. He played during our cocktail hour, he even offered to learn any songs for us. It really gave the cocktail hour a great atmosphere and elegance.
Violinist: Heather, 973-768-4092
Heather was really enthusiastic and played half hour before the church ceremony and stayed there until the last guest left. Beautiful!
Hair & Makeup:  Rose Villavicencio and her staff, Changers Hair Studio, 292 Main Street , West Orange, (973) 325-0034
Rose had so much patience with all of us, she did my make-up, hair and all my bridesmaids’ make-up.  Her staff did everyone else’s hair. They all looked gorgeous! She did high definition make up and it look great in pictures. She did my hair color and match my hair extensions perfectly! We chose to go to her salon which is 5 minutes away from my house but she also travels to you.
Limo: Classic Coach Limousine, John, Springfield, (908) 419-9088, http://classiccoachlimousine.com
John is the owner, he himself chose to drive us the day of the wedding. He showed up on time and followed the timeline perfectly. He fixed my dress before walking down the aisle, helped everyone getting on and off the limo. The limo that we chose was brand new and super clean! He is local so he knew exactly how to drive us around so no worries about getting lost!
Cake: Anita Zamora, (973) 667-0565
Anita did my homemade Ecuadorian cake. She put so much effort in the cakes and they turned out delicious! We tried Palermo’s cake and were not happy with the textures and fillings/cream, we wanted something more traditional that will show my heritage.  She made my cake with peaches, walnuts wine, it was a dark rich cake with fondant. Nathan decorated it with flowers.
Tuxes: Dante Tuxedo, Nardeen, Wayne, (973) 237-0054, www.dantezeller.com
Nardeen was very helpful when we picked the tuxes as far as finding the right coordination/colors. Just bring a swatch of your bridesmaids’ dresses and she will do the rest. Make sure the guys try on the tuxes as soon as they can, they might need to get minor alterations done.
Dress and BM dresses: David’s Bridal, Anna, Wayne, (973) 237-16161, www.davidsbridal.com
Anna helped me for hours, I tried five dresses one time and I found the perfect one right there! Same thing with my bridesmaids’ dresses, we picked latte color, they all came on time and with no problems.
Alterations:  We got alterations done in different shops due to different bridesmaids’ home locations. All places did an outstanding job and went out of their way to make sure we were all ready ahead of time. Some of my bridesmaids were really last minute and they still made sure we were ready for the big day.
